The Story of Us

Paston Ridings Primary School has a rich and vibrant history, rooted in the heart of the Peterborough community since September 1969. Our journey began as two separate schools—an Infant school and a Junior school—serving the growing families of the area.
In 1994, we joined together to become one united primary school, creating the single, strong community we are today. One of the biggest milestones came in 2011, when a major expansion to become a three-form entry school began. This project brought state-of-the-art facilities, including seven new classrooms, a new staff room, and a swimming pool! At the same time, an eco-friendly bio-mass boiler was installed, a forward-thinking move that heats our school using sustainable wood pellets.
Our story has also evolved beyond our own walls. We are proud to be part of the Spirit partnership, a family of local schools that includes Winyates Primary School, Barnack Primary School, and St John's Church School. This inspiring name represents our collective values of fortitude and tenacity, which drive us to work together and ensure our pupils become aspirational and ambitious thinkers who aim high. Our story is one of continuous growth and we are not only proud of history but excited about our future.
We invite you to join us and become part of our story!
