Our Forest School Leader is Mrs Tina Rowlett
At Paston Ridings Primary School, we are committed to nurturing a deep connection between children and the natural world. Our intention is to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can explore, discover and learn through hands-on experiences in nature. We believe that Forest School is essential for building children's resilience, creativity, and a lifelong love of the environment.
Our Forest School program is designed to develop confident, independent learners who respect their surroundings and each other. We encourage curiosity and inquisitiveness providing opportunities for the children to engage with the nature in a meaningful and impactful way. By allowing children the freedom to explore and take risks, we help them build problem-solving skills, enhance their physical and emotional well-being.
Through collaborative activities and team-building exercises, children learn the importance of cooperation, empathy, and effective communication. We also recognise the importance of individualised learning and strive to meet each child's unique needs and interests. Our Forest School lead is dedicated to supporting children's growth by offering guidance and encouragement while allowing the freedom to pursue their own learning paths.
