In Year 5 we have had another exciting half term!
We have learnt about the Ancient Greeks, particularly focusing on the Greek Myth 'Odysseus'. Children have explored character descriptions and used physical theatre to deepen their understanding. We are already looking forward to furthering this knowledge next half term when we learn about other myths and write our own.
In Science, we have learned about forces; we made paper aeroplanes when learning about air resistance and our own boats when finding out about water resistance. In D&T we're learning about mechanical cams to design and make our own product linked to the Greek Myth Odysseus. Recently, pupils enjoyed discovering the skills involved in continuous line drawing, emulating Picasso and applying to some artwork of their own.
