Year 2

Year 2 have had a very busy start to the year. We have been learning about the World we live in and we are using that information to produce a Non-chronological report in English.

In Maths, we have learnt about place value in numbers to 100 and are just starting to explore addition and subtraction. 

The children have begun to take reading quizzes on the Accelerated Reading scheme and are very proud of their individual word counts. The children have each selected a book at their indiivual reading level and, after reading it 3 times, they will take a computer test to assess their understanding of each book. Every  quiz passed will add to this word count, so look out for your child's Accelerated Reading book in their bag.

We are very much looking forward to our tip to the cathedral at the end of November and are looking for volunteers to accompany us. If you are free on the afternoon of November 27th and would like to volunteer, please get in with either Miss Mountoute, Mr Forman or let the office know.
