A Great Start to Our Burwell House Adventure!
What an amazing first day we’ve had at Burwell House!
We began by exploring the beautiful gardens, using clues to answer questions and uncover hidden facts about the grounds.
The children then tried their hand at Batik, an Indonesian art technique. They designed and created their own motifs on cotton bags using wax and ink — with some truly impressive results!
In the afternoon, everyone headed back outside to make sculptures in the garden, using only natural materials such as leaves, twigs, and pine cones. We even made ‘leaf angels’
We ended the day with some well-earned relaxation in the lounge, watching a film together before bedtime.
We’re already looking forward to another exciting day of adventures tomorrow!
