Year 6 SATs
At the end of Year Six, children in England sit a series of Statutory Assessment Tasks (SATs). This year the SATs will take place in the week beginning 9th May 2022. Please ensure that you do not book any holidays for this week, as all Year Six children should be in school.
To help the children prepare for the SATs, Year Six will be sent home with two targeted practice books, one for maths and one for English. They will be told which pages to complete for homework and will write the due date at the top of their pages. These will be marked in school on a Wednesday. It is important that children do their best on these tasks, they will have covered the content in school. Spelling homework will continue as normal.
Please ensure that your child has their targeted revision books in school every day, as sometimes we will work on the tasks in school.
In addition, some children will attend booster lessons in the afternoons, to help them catch-up with any content that they may have missed. To enable these booster classes to happen, Jaguars will be split in half in the afternoons and taught with Tigers and Lions.
If you have any questions about the Key Stage Two SATs, please speak to your child’s class teacher or Miss Mann.
