SCHOOL CLOSURE - Covid-19

29th May 2020

Dear Parents/Carers

Update

Further to the Government announcement last night that the 5 tests to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 have been met, we are now moving forward with the planned wider opening of school for some pupils. The proposed plan was communicated with parents on 22nd May, however we are now in a position to confirm these arrangements.

Tuesday 2nd June – KEY WORKER CHILDREN ONLY

On this date we will be welcoming our Key worker bubble children back to school. This will be in 3 different groups. Further information will be communicated to the parents and carers of these children shortly.

Wednesday 3rd June – FOUNDATION STAGE PUPILS

On Wednesday we will be opening for some pupils from Foundation Stage for mornings and lunch only. This is for the children of parents we have spoken to. We will be sending lots of additional information to you on Monday in preparation for this.

Monday 8th June – YEAR 1 PUPILS

On Monday 8th June we will be opening for some pupils from Year 1 for the mornings and lunch only. This is, again, for the children of parents we have spoken to. We will be sending lots of additional information to you on Wednesday in preparation for this.

YEAR 6

At this point I am unable to confirm when or how Year 6 pupils will return to school. We will keep reviewing our plans and will communicate this with you as much as possible. Year 6 will not be returning to school from the start of June. Further information about transition will be sent to you shortly.

These arrangements will be continuously reviewed in line with our risk assessments.

Thank you for your continued patience during this challenging time and we wish you all well. Stay safe.

Kind Regards

Mrs Harradine

Deputy Headteacher
