Covid-19 Home Learning

During the school closure we will continue to send work home on a Monday morning for your children to complete.

Foundation Stage: Activities are set weekly using tapestry. All pupils can access Mini Mash and RM Maths activities. In addition, home learning activites are sent weekly.

Year 1: All pupils can access RM Maths and Times Tables Rock Stars. Home learning ideas will be sent out weekly and we will try to include new ideas for helpful websites each week. We would love to see the children’s learning on Tapestry

Year 2: Home Learning for Year Two will be based around Reading, Writing, Maths and Topic learning questions and success criteria. Suggested activities will be given for each subject, with website suggestions to support these activities and also direction to Twinkl, Purple Mash, or other websites to supplement the learning.

Year 3:  Home learning will be based around Reading, Writing and Maths. Specific topic work will also be sent including research based tasks. Purple Mash is up and running as well as activities on Times Tables Rockstars.

Year 4: Learning will continue to follow the curriculum with weekly activities and projects to do. Home learning books that were sent home can be completed daily. Purple mash tasks are set and there are fun projects to create. You can do daily reading of any kind, play times table games and have a look at online activities. We will be emailing you on purple mash so you can keep in touch with each other and the teachers,

Year 5: A timetable is sent out weekly, along with a front sheet letter, listing a range of home learning ideas and reminders. All pupils can access Purple Mash resources and Times Tables Rock Stars. Children should check for any 'to dos' on Purple Mash and any ‘rock battles’ on Times Tables Rock Stars. Children can also challenge each other to ‘rock slams’. LBQ quizzes are set each weekday, with the LBQ code to access these being sent to parents each day.

Year 6:  Learning activities are set weekly on the timetable sent out on a Monday. Mornings are maths and English sessions using workbooks from school, learning by questions sessions (lbq - no personal login required, only codes needed which are sent out on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays - valid for that day ONLY!) and a range of other relevant websites. The afternoons sessions will link to current topic and other curriculum areas such as art, music etc. Some activities are accessed through Purple Mash, if your child has forgotten their login, please contact the school office.
