New News Story
We are thrilled to share the excellent news with you that Ofsted rated our school as ‘Good’ in all areas!
In the report, Ofsted inspectors said “since the previous inspection, the Headteacher has worked with senior leaders and governors to bring about a significant improvement in the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.” They felt that this has led to better outcomes for our pupils.
Highlights from the report include:
Children make good progress in the early years” and in key stage 1 and 2, stating “from their low starting points at the beginning of Year 1, pupils make good progress in reading, writing and mathematics.” “The education of pupils who have special education needs (SEN) and/or disabilities is well led.”
“Behaviour is good. In class, pupils show respect for their teachers and fellow pupils.”
“Pupils’ behaviour in the playground is good.”
“Leaders are rigorous in the way that we support our pupils to be safe in and outside of school.”
We are delighted with the findings of the report, which recognises the hard work and dedication of our staff, governors, pupils, parents and the local community. Together we have faced challenging times over the past few years but have never ceased in our mission to be the best we can be.
We would like to thank you all for supporting Paston Ridings Primary School to become a school we can all be proud of and I look forward to a bright and exciting future.
